So it's Friday, and if it is one thing you should not be doing, it is allowing your ass to make-out with the cushion of your sofa. Unfortunately, I can only share the deets on ATL activities since this is my place of residency so sorry if you do not live here, but for all of my Atlanta lovers...I want to help you get out of the damn house. So, here's four things I can suggest for you to try this weekend...just because :)
1. The High Museum of Art has been hosting the Picasso to Warhol exhibit since October and it ends this month. I haven't been yet...but knowing my friends and I we will be there on the 29th (i.e. the last day). I've heard some great reviews about it though & it's definitely something worth checking out. Go here for more info.
2. If you are like me and you LOVE food, along with trying different restaurants...I have a great recommendation for you to try: FLIP Burger Boutique (one in Buckhead and one in Midtown). It's truly a burger boutique because their selection consists of their own burger exclusives and I guarantee you will NEVER experience another burger spot like this. They have a lamb burger that is delish & I also get the sweet potato tots and a white chocolate milkshake. You will not regret going there.
3. So maybe clubs are not your thing but you love spoken-word or a nice lounge? Well, Apache Cafe hosts a weekly event on Sundays at 7PM & its a very personable, low-key spot...but very entertaining. They have great appetizers, drinks, and a really great atmosphere. I love going there.
4. Now I know everyone can't afford to dish out a lot of cash to have fun and you don't need to. There are plenty of places in the city such as Piedmont Park and Atlantic Station where you can just cool out & hang with your friends for FREE...maybe even have a picnic in the park or something? ..Get creative.
Well I hope if you didn't have anything to do for this weekend before you read this post, you do now, so be safe & have fun :)
