Burak Uyan really came into his own with his Summer 2012 shoe collection as he added a breath of fresh air in the industry, however, I don't believe his work was truly recognized for the season...which sucks. Since he branched out from his previous employer, the designer label, Giambattista Valli, he now has the creative freedom to bring his ideas for women's fashion alive and I'm really looking forward to seeing more from Mr. Uyan. I think he's a dope designer and he has the potential to dismiss the jaded obsessions of other high fashion labels.
